Jaime built her family law practice on the philosophy that families from all walks of life deserve access to quality legal services in some of the most vulnerable and difficult times of their lives. She places a high importance on listening to her clients about their unique circumstances so that she can help them design solutions that make sense for them and their family. She understands that her clients are trusting her with what matters most to them - their assets, their businesses, and their children.
Jaime is a child of divorce. Thus, she is deeply aware of how the choices made during and after divorce can help or hinder children.
Jaime's unwavering passion for family law dates back to law school. It was at this time in her life where she worked for Help-U-File Family Law that she realized that it was the only area of law she could really see herself pursuing. At Help-U-File Family Law, Jaime assisted individuals of modest means with their various family court needs, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, domestic violence, and property division. She also held an externship at the Yolo County Family Law Facilitator's Office where she provided self-represented litigants with information and options regarding their family law matter and learned about the inner workings of the court.
When Jaime graduated law school, she sharpened her skills by working for a few different private law firms focusing exclusively on family law matters.
Jaime graduated with a Juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law, where she served as a staff editor for the Business and Developmental Law Journal, and treasurer of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. While there, she obtained a certificate of concentration in business law. She also had the privilege of studying under two Supreme Court Justices, Justice Kennedy and Justice Kagan, during a summer abroad in Salzburg, Austria.
Before law school, Jaime graduated from the University of the Pacific with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in pre-law. After graduation Jaime worked briefly for Enterprise-Rent-A-Car as a manager-in-training before attending law school.
Jaime originates from Lodi, California. She has two German shepherd named Freyja and Khaos. She is a Bravoholic and oenophile. In her free time, Jaime enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her family, reading, and scuba diving.
